The Resource Library provides an area within your website where users may upload/download files and comment, rate, and tag documents to offer additional context to the posting to make it easy to search. Each library can hold multiple kinds of documents, including streaming video (add-on module allows for streaming), PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, images, Microsoft Office and Apple iWork documents. Each posting shows the author’s image which links to his/her profile, allows for comments, and automatically lists related documents based on tags. Security settings allow organizations to control who sees what and allows organizations to offer content teasers to non-members or subscribers to help promote purchase.
With full integration into your AMS, working groups, committees and chapters are automatically configured to allow groups to work privately and store documents in a repository that is just for their own use. Organizations can create as many libraries as needed to allow chapters, committees, communities of practice, and any another other group to effectively share documents to work collaboratively while institutionalizing the user-generated content into the organization’s knowledge base.
