NJCPA was looking for a robust engagement platform when they switched from a more limited platform to Higher Logic Community.
NJCPA’s Higher Logic Community helps them connect and communicate with their membership, manage segmented committees and interest groups, and improve member engagement.
On their previous community platform, the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA) kept their community locked down to just specific committees and segments because of the platform’s limited capabilities. When they switched to Higher Logic Community, the team recommended opening their community to their full 13,000+ membership. NJCPA could still have specific sub-communities for special groups, but this way they could really engage their entire membership.
The decision to open the community paid off! Having all their members in the online community makes it a great place for members to get answers and solutions from peers (which was especially important during the early days of the pandemic, because members needed advice and support for the 2020 tax filing deadline).
The online community (and by extension, NJCPA membership) is now a trusted source of information and collaboration. Through the community, even CPAs with no in-house colleagues have a network of practitioners to turn to.
Higher Logic’s automation tools have been key for NJCPA as they get members more involved. For example, things like built-in community digests that aggregate discussions from the previous day and real-time email alerts about new posts have all led to tangible results:
