Most community teams struggle to keep content fresh. Anaplan found a way to solve that by not doing it all themselves. Their community content program, led by Ginger Anderson, taps into their 100,000+ members, encouraging them to contribute content. The result? Members visit the community an average of 💥27 times per month💥because there’s always something new and relevant to check out. Here’s what makes their approach work, and what others can learn from it: - Start small and be intentional. Instead of trying to launch a massive initiative overnight, begin by publishing one or two member-written blogs per month. Focus on quality over quantity, identifying engaged users with relevant expertise and collaborating with them to shape content. - Make content distribution a priority. A great post doesn’t do much if no one sees it. Anaplan amplifies member content through newsletters, social media, and even internal teams to drive visibility. They also encourage contributors to share their own work, increasing engagement beyond the community itself. - Support contributors every step of the way. Not everyone sees themselves as a writer, so Anaplan makes it easy to contribute by offering guidance and collaboration. They help members refine their ideas, structure their insights, and feel confident in sharing their expertise, resulting in content that’s both valuable and authentic. If your team is stretched thin trying to keep up with content, it might be time to start looking inside your own community for contributors. Get an inside look at how Anaplan does it.
